We build them to solve real problems for our customers.

That has always been our starting point.

Customer feedback remains the most important validation for us. We listen closely, we challenge ourselves to see the world through our customers’ eyes, and we continuously adapt our technology to their real operational needs. That mindset has guided HORISEN for more than 25 years and continues to shape every platform we develop today.

But let’ face it, the awards do matter – particularly when they reflect independent evaluation and long-term consistency.

The recent recognition of HORISEN Business Messenger as Best Business Messaging Solution at the Future Digital Awards by Juniper Research comes at a meaningful moment for us. Not only because Juniper Research is one of the few truly independent, analyst-led voices in our industry, but because this award arrives at the beginning of a milestone year for HORISEN.

Since 2017, our platforms have received 29 industry awards, spanning different years, categories, and market evolutions – and that consistency matters. It tells a story not of a single success, but of sustained execution over time.

Awards, when they come from expert judges with deep, long-standing experience in telecom and digital communications, offer an external perspective on how well we are positioned within our technology niche. They reflect how our vision, architecture, and long-term product decisions resonate beyond our own organization. In that sense, awards act as a checkpoint – not the destination, but a signal that we are moving in the right direction.

For us, this is closely connected to what we mean when we say HORISEN is the HOME OF MESSAGING TECHNOLOGY.

Being the home of something means commitment. It means depth, continuity, and responsibility. Messaging is not a side offering for us, nor a trend we follow opportunistically. It is what we have focused on, invested in, and refined for a quarter of a century. From robustness to scalability, from SMS to RCS, from SS7 and MNP to omnichannel messaging, our goal has always been to provide a solid, vendor-neutral foundation on which others can build.

Equally important is keeping our own voice

In telecommunications as a fast-moving industry, it is easy to follow trends, adopt fashionable narratives, or dilute identity in pursuit of short-term gains. We have consciously chosen a more deliberate path. We remain independent in our thinking, consistent in our architecture, and focused on long-term value rather than quick wins. The fact that this approach continues to be recognized simultaneously by our customers and by independent industry bodies gives us confidence that authenticity and focus deliver lasting results.

What it truly means to keep our own voice – how independence shapes decisions, architecture, and long-term technology choices – is something I will explore in more detail in the next post.

Until then, I will conclude with my perspective on awards as important milestones and independent signals of progress – reinforcing our commitment to listen closely to our customers, think from their perspective, and continue investing in messaging technology with the same depth and care that brought us here.

That is how we have sustained and grown HORISEN over the past 25 years.
And that is how we intend to shape the future of messaging in the years ahead.
